I like 36 teams because I like the 6-team divisions. Four teams in a division are not enough, and I don't like five because of the odd number.

With the 36-team idea, you could put Milwaukee in the AL Central, move KC to the AL West and put Houston back in the NL Central. And, yes, I agree with you Houston belongs in the National League.
