Cards news: March 26 -- Spring Training -- Veteran OF Hunter Renfroe agrees to minor-league deal
The St. Louis Cardinals have signed veteran outfielder Hunter Renfroe to a minor-league contract.
Renfroe, 34, spent time in the majors last season with the Chicago White Sox playing in 87 games/82 starts during which he hit .235 with 11 home runs and 29 RBIs.
He broke into the majors in 2018 with San Diego. Renfroe also has played for Boston, Milwaukee, the Los Angeles Angels, Reds and Pirates.
He is a career .238 hitter with 194 home runs and 537 RBIs.
Since he missed spring training, Renfroe will start the season with AAA Memphis.
