Cards news: May 14 -- OF Eloy Jimenez signed to minor-league contract
The St. Louis Cardinals have signed outfielder Eloy Jimenez to a minor-league contract. He has been assigned to AAA Memphis.
Jimenez, 29, spent the 2025 season with the Chicago White Sox where he hit .231 with 22 home runs and 68 RBIs in 147 games.
It is expected he could replace Hunter Renfroe on the major-league roster if he continues to struggle.
Renfroe, 34, has hit just .077 with home run an RBI in eight games.
