Thanks for the response, I can't see that confirmed anywhere in the Lab thread - where did you read that?
Even by that definition, is it not somewhat curious to select a position where the default beginning range is 30? I don't understand why you'd use the learn new position feature otherwise, because you're always able to see the players fielding ability - so you could just manually designate the optimal new position for them to learn. I just anticipated this to be a time saving device with a slight additional perk of experience but it's not shown that on this occasion.
