May 3 vs NY Mets 1-3 L. WP-C.Scott (1-0). LP-Civale (2-3, 5.2 3 2 2 1 6). HR-Paredes (8). Rays had their chances and the difference was two men thrown out at the plate as they were beat by Christian Scott in his MLB debut.

May 4 vs NY Mets 11-8 W. WP-Littell (2-2, 5.1 7 3 3 2 2). LP-Peterson (0-1). S-Adam (2). HR-Y.Diaz (2), Paredes (9), Siri (2). This should have been a laugher as the Rays were up 11-3 but the bullpen made it way too interesting. Paredes was 2-3 with a 2 walks, a 2-run double and a solo homer, and Rosario and Caminero each had 3 hits and an RBI with the latter's coming on a triple.
May 5 vs NY Mets 5-4 W. WP-Pepiot (4-2, 6 5 2 2 1 2). LP-Odorizzi (0-1). S-Adam (4). Rays strung together two straight wins but once again needed Adam to rescue the game as a 5-2 lead dwindled to 5-4. Yandy and Rortvedt each had 2 hits and an RBI.
Record: 16-19, last in the AL East 8 1/2 back and 3 out of the third wild card.
Rays News: Amed Rosario (.353) and Jose Caballero (10) lead the AL in batting average and SBs respectively.

Keegan's bat is for real but he's a 35 catcher.
MLB News: AL Player of the Week was Adolis Garcia of Texas who was 12-25 with 7(!) homers. NL was the Giants' Austin Slater, 8 for 18 with 4 HR and 7 RBI. Freddie Freeman had a 5-5 game, but his Dodgers lost that and two others to Atlanta in a clash of the titans.
