CBO Offseason Begins
The 2308 Offseason has begun with the Bunker Hill 75ers the new champions of the CBO. We have several news items to discuss as we enter the offseason and move toward the 2309 season, the last of the 24-team league, with the CBO expected to expand to 28 for the 2310 season.
In other news, the BYDL and SCYL are no more as the two leagues have merged to become a 64-team Commonwealth Youth League. Four new youth teams, the Acton Ups, Georgetown Scholars, Littleton Beasts, and Rockport Seafarers, have joined the league. Also, the Concord-Lexington Minuteboys have split, with Lexington maintaining the Minuteboys name while Concord will all flow to the 111 Iceboys, now known as the Concord Iceboys. Additionally, the JP-UP Death Rockets will be fully in Jamaica Plain and will take on the CBO's Red Rockets' original team name, the Treasures.

Games played - 121 - tied with 20 players. Five players played a 121st game in 2308.
Complete Games - 11 - tied with three players. Both SP Ugio Church of Nordhagen Beach and SP Eugene Gym of Sunshine Tidings tied SP Beachboy Nut's record for complete games set in 2301.
Innings Pitched - 244.0 - SP Beachboy Nut, Nordhagen Beach. Nut beat the previous record of 239.0 IP set by SP Nuke Laloosh and SP Exxie Summerset in 2306.
Home Runs Allowed - 43 - SP Copper Geffre, Atom. Geffre allowed more home runs by the previous record holders (four players, including a tie for that previous record by SPs Major Tom Brennan of Easy Town and Jim Livermore of Fort Hagen) of 41.
CBO Prospect List
Now that the season has finished, it's time to look forward to the future, and what better way than to look at the brightest future stars of the league, courtesy of BNN. This year, 20 year-old 1B Kilometers Davis of the The Slog Ghouls is the #1 prospect overall. He hit .371 with 40 home runs and 103 RBI with the Ghouls' BMU team, the Mass Pike Radroaches.
