MML All-Star Game
Despite his best efforts, game MVP Nate Trollight's Legends League All-Stars couldn't overcome the powerful Stars League squad in the annual All-Star Game.
"We tried our best, but did you see the talent in that lineup?" Trollight was quoted as saying after the game. "I'm honored to be named MVP of the game. To stand among the greatest stars of the game and be declared the best among them is truly an honor, even if we didn't end up winning the game. I had fun, and I think the fans did as well."
The Stars League All-Stars triumphed in the game by a final score of 4-3 in this year's game at Milton General Stadium.
Lifetime Trollight is hitting .323 with 50 doubles, 5 triples, 24 home runs, 101 RBIs and 112 runs scored. He has appeared in 173 games to date and delivered 218 hits.
Once again it is time to honor the elite players in the Massachusetts Minor League. The league office today announced the names of the players selected to play in the annual league All-Star classic.

BMU All-Star Game
Field at Woburn was the place to be for baseball fans tonight, as the best BMU players gathered for the annual all-star game.
On the field, the Massachusetts Association downed the Commonwealth Association by a score of 7-5. Off the field, game MVP Nathan Hellelf said he thinks everyone had a good night.
"You looked into the stands and it seemed like everyone was having a fantastic time," said the 24-year-old, who went 2-for-2 in the game. "A game like this is good for the sport."
Hellelf is batting .292 with 80 career base hits, including 16 doubles, 1 triple and 13 home runs with 53 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has played in 121 games, stolen 0 bases and compiled a .354 OBP.
It's All-Star Game time -- time for the superstars to shine! Every year Boston Minor Union takes a break in the schedule to play the annual All-Star Game. It's a battle of the superstars -- the Commonwealth Association All-Stars versus the Massachusetts Association All-Stars. The All-Star Game will spotlight the best hitters, the best pitchers and the best fielders, all doing battle against one another, all trying to prove their league is best.

Greater Boston Rookie League put its best players on the field today, and the game certainly showed that.
In the annual Midseason Classic, the North League came out over the South League by a final score of 8-4. Leading the way for the North League All-Stars was first baseman
Tyler Johnson.
"I go out there and do my best every game, All-Star game or not," the star said after his great show, going 3-for-3 in the contest.
Johnson's career batting average is .261. In 229 games, he has gotten 179 hits, 68 home runs, 160 RBIs and scored 132 runs.
It's that time of the season again, when the best of the best battle it out for Greater Boston Rookie League bragging rights. Yes, it's time for the annual All-Star game! The North League All-Stars will take on the South League All-Stars in a star-studded showdown.

There's a whole lot of pride on the line when the best baseball players throughout Boston Collegiate Athletic Conference gather for the all-star game.
It was no different this year, as the South Division bested the North Division by a score of 4-2, in a spirited contest played at Black Diamonds Grounds.
"It might be a little lower intensity than the regular season or playoffs, but everyone in that clubhouse still wants to win this game," said Myles Deese of the South Division, who was named the game MVP.
How would you like to manage a team with more star players than you can play? It wouldn't be an easy chore. That's the dilemma facing the two managers at the annual Boston Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Star classic -- how to get all the talented All-Stars in the game. The Beantown Sprouts ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Taunton Giants 2-0 to win the Round 5.
Beantown won the series 3-1, capturing the title for the 1st time.
"We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Beantown manager Friday Danielson. "It's a great feeling."
The champs finished the regular season 59-17 and claimed first place in the North Region Ralph Waldo Emerson Division.
In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and starting pitcher Alex Language said the Sprouts have "great fans and they deserve this."
"I am so happy for our team right now," he said.
