Pretty sure the problem (no scare quotes required) is that we had a 6-0 record against this team during the regular season and a 2-0 lead in the playoffs (so 8 straight wins), but both 'upsets' and reverse sweeps are hardcoded in the game to happen way more often than they should. Oh and my post above where this nonsense leads to not getting promoted despite 107 wins.
