Historical Issue
I have noticed (every time I do it, which is many, many times) when you enter a year PRIOR to the expansion year of a team...e.g., 1992, since Rockies & Marlins inaugural year is 1993, the game realistically has "fan interest" very high for those teams- and usually loyalty somewhat high (but definitely the fan interest).
However, the discrepancy is when you ENTER into say 1993 (or any year of an expansion team), and these things are now totally different.
I'm not sure if there is a random element involved, but for example, the Rockies and Marlins have "low" fan interest, every time entering into into 1993, their inaugural year, versus entering in 1992, and then having the game automatically expand the teams into 1993, with huge fan interest.
