March 1, 1958 - Snapshot

Here is a snapshot of the Leagues, with a couple of highlights thus far:

With four weeks left in the season, there’s little drama in the West. Pulberry is running away with top spot while the Sherburn Tigers are starting to create some separation between themselves and the fading Cambria Cannons.
The playoff picture is somewhat murkier in the East as four teams remain in the chase for the two playoff spots. But the Stratford Barons have taken the upper hand, thanks to a 16-7 February.
On February 24, Cambria Cannons RF Sam Tite launched his 50th home run of the season to set a new United Leagues season home run record. With 26 games left in the season, he is on pace for 60. All eyes will be on him to see if he can reach such Ruthian heights.
February also saw the 17th player in ULB history to reach 2000 career hits.
