Shane Bieber pitched well (6 IP, 2 R, 6.H, 6 K), but Alvaro Villa blew his 1st save opportunity of 2031, ending his 33 consecutive save streak. The Padres scored 5 times off the Pirates bullpen.

Dave Magdaleno allowed 1 run over 6 innings to win his 1st major league game. He outpitched Majestic starter Drew Graham.

The Majestics took the series with a solid win behind a fine hitting performance by Colton Hartman, who went 4-4 with a home run. Portland scored 3 times in the bottom of the 1st inning to take control of the game. Joe Brown hit a 2 run home run for the Pirates in the 8th.

Boston Kellner pitched 6.1 innings of 3 hit ball as the Pirates beat the River Cats. Jun-Seo Kim hit a 3 run home run in the 1st inning to give Pittsburgh the lead.

The Pirates took the rubber match and won their 1st series of the season behind another solid start by Shane Bieber. Youichirou Sugiyama hit a 2-run double in the bottom of the 4th inning to give the Pirates a 2-0 lead. Jake Morrow also hit a home run and drove in 3.
