The Cincinnati Reds won the World Series in a 7-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Another change to the MLB, with the league increasing the required service time to reach FA to 7 years, up from 5 years.

As for the Phillies, their 68-94 record saw them finish 5th in the NL East, 26 games behind the Braves for the division lead and 20 games out of the playoffs. The Phillies continue to worsen, their worst win percentage since 2017.
