Brotherhood League
Nordhagen Beach has not been hot as of late which has allowed the rest of the pack to catch up. Four teams now have 50+ wins on the season. Two of those teams, Salem and Easy Town, are among the hottest in the CBO. The Witch Hats are 9-1 in their last 10.
Since we have not featured the Hats so far this season, now would be the best time. Salem at 51-37 and 3rd in the BL would be the #5 seed if the playoffs were to start today. The Witch Hats are a sneaky-good team, currently 2nd in the NCA in runs scored (493) and 7th in runs against (400), though they do sport the 2nd-best Bullpen ERA (3.65). With 148 home runs, Salem is also the best power team in the NCA. That is due to five players with at least 13 homers: RF Brian DeLong (.342/30/71) with the lead in the NCA in home runs, 1B Needham Tickler (.284/25/51), LF Dan Erb (.306/18/54), CF Andy Dogleash (.302/16/55), and 2B Michael Hoopring (.259/13/38). RP Machine Man Fortune (2-1, 0.52) has been killer in his 34.2 innings pitched.
Institute League
While Bunker Hill has established itself as the dominant team atop the standings, Starlight has been the absolute hottest team on a current eight-game winning streak. Sunshine Tidings has been cold, but they are still in the thick of the playoff hunt. We mentioned that this league is a three-team playoff race, but a hot BL is threatening the chance for three teams to get in.
One team we have yet to feature is Lexington, currently in 5th place and a game behind Fort Hagen. If we look at the current team, there are too many holes to be a competitive team. However, there are some young pieces worth building around along with the CBO's fourth-best system. Of course, LF Family Sam Partridge (.343/24/61) is already a star. 1B Redface Brickstone (.257/14/47) is trying to make a name for himself in his rookie season. Rookie RP Josh Woods (3-0, 3.79) could be the future closer for the Synths.
Down on the farms, the 6th prospect is the 2309 #1 pick 3B Juu Racetrack. The other top prospects in the system include the #30th-ranked SS Geralt Rivia and the 44th-ranked prospect, LF Izdere Lifunn-Mars.
Minutemen League
Quincy has distanced itself from some of the other teams with a 51-37 record and a five-game lead on 2nd-place University Point. Jamaica Plain and Spectacle Island are both fully in the playoff hunt with the rest of the division out of it as we approach the trade deadline.
Since we are dotting all T's and crossing all I's, let us bring up Atom. In 6th place, the once perennial playoff team of the early 00s, the Cats have not finished above .500 since their last playoff appearance in 2305. Unlike Lexington, the Cats also do not have a strong system in place, ranking 15th in the CBO. While he is not highly ranked (#22), CF Erasmus Hansen (,340/21/45 with the GBRL's Satelllite Array Riflemen) is looking well worth his 6th-overall pick in the 2309 Rookie Draft.
Some young players who may make a difference are P Sebastian Brakefield (4-2, 1 SV, 6.59 in 37 relief appearances), P Squirrel Bitz (1-0, 4.88 in 14 games with one start), C Nu York (.301/6/34), 2B Yoink Yukon (.316/5/25), LF Dulove Somebody (.249/4/24), and RF Actually Aucoin (.125/1/1 in two games) who is just returning from a creature attack.
Railroad League
Roxbury has just taken over the RL with a six-game lead over both Vault 81 and Egret. While the RL still appears to be a four-playoff-team league, the Rad Sox look to be back to championship form with a CBO-best 61-27 record. After missing the playoffs the last two seasons, the Sox seem to be a team with a score to settle.
We are featuring teams for the first time in every other league, so let's feature one here, too. The FHE Yao Guai, currently in 6th place, were predicted to finish behind even the expansion Glowing Sea Radscorpions. Now that we know that will not happen, let's talk about the Yao Guai's prospects.
First of all, FHE sports the CBO's best system, holding five prospects in the Top 20: LF Innis Sark (2nd), SS Slip Knotty (5th), 2B Anxious Wade Osteen (14th), 1B Cyclone Bolt (15th), and LF Levitt Aiding (19th).
Despite us questioning the logic of trading away top pitching younger Paul Stains to Diamond City, the Yao Guai may be loaded for a championship run within the next few years. One youngster already making waves and the likely winner of the Red Rocket Rookie Award is LF Makin Jobear (.353/23/58). Third-year RF Sebastian Lort (.330/14/48) has also played extremely well. SP Agnet Skinner (7-8, 3,29) has also shown considerable progress.
CBO Standings

July 4 - Easy Town fans had a lot to cheer about this week as right fielder Baktu DaWell brought home the North Charles Association Player of the Week trophy.

In his 2310 season totals, Gains has 19 home runs, .286 BA, .373 OBP, 63 RBIs and 61 runs scored.
July 11 - It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Family Sam Partridge, the Lexington Synths 21-year-old left fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for North Charles Association Player of the Week honors.
He ripped 13 hits in 26 at-bats, compiling a .500 average with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.
This year Partridge has hit at a .343 pace and produced 61 RBIs, 24 home runs and scored 54 runs.
Prof Castillo kept his eye on the ball last week and now all eyes are on him. The Goodneighbor Hancocks right fielder easily swung his way to the South Charles Association Player of the Week Award with 13 hits in 24 at-bats.
Castillo hit .542 last week with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Castillo is hitting .269 this year with 12 home runs, 40 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 59 hits in 219 at-bats, 14 walks and a .311 on-base percentage. Castillo has played in 64 games.
