Changes prior to the 1892 season
England
- The Baseball Alliance is incorporated as the Baseball League Second Division
- Darwen are relegated into the Second Division
- Nottingham Forest, The Wednesday (Sheffield) and Newton Heath (Manchester) are promoted to the First Division
- Birmingham St. George's decide not to apply to the Baseball League due to significant debt and disbanded
- Sheffield Blades (United), Northwich Victoria and Port Vale are admitted into the Baseball League Second Division
Scotland
- Cambuslang were not re-elected into the league, they would never seek to join again
- Vale of Leven were also not re-elected, though this is not the last we've seen of them
- No new teams are admitted and the league contracts to 10 teams
Ireland
- The league contracts to 6 teams. Lancashire Fusiliers, Milltown, Ligoniel, Oldpark and YMCA are out of the league.
- Derry Olympic joins the league.
Argentina
- No 1892 season was played.
