The Orioles retook the lead on Taylor Ward’s RBI double in the bottom of the inning. Jose Soriano relieved Detmers after the first 2 batters singled to start the bottom of the 6th. Soriano struck out Ryan O’Hearn and got Cedric Mullins to hit into a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning. Gunnar Henderson deposited a Jimmy Herget pitch 408 feet to the flag porch leading off the bottom of the 7th to give the O’s a 3-1 lead.
Neto singled with 1 out in the 9th, but PH Miguel Sano struck out to bring up Hays. Hays hit his 1st home run of the year to right-center to tie the game.
The Halos took the lead in the 11th. With Rendon at 2B as the ghost runner, the Orioles elected to intentionally walk Schanuel. After Connor Joe struck out, Neto doubled (his 3rd hit of the game) into the RF corner to put LA ahead, 5-3. Neto later scored on a Hays single – Hays' 5th hit of the game. The Orioles scored a run on a sac fly in the bottom of the inning, but Matt Moore retired all 3 batters he faced to preserve the win.
