TRADE
: In a deal that has been in the works since the final day of spring training, the Angels dealt Miguel Sano and minor league OF Orlando Martinez to Washington in exchange for OF Victor Robles.

Robles was once considered in of the game’s top prospects, but has been injured a lot and underperformed in his time with the Nationals. He is athletic and has good tools and the Angels hope a change of scenery will help him. He will most serve as a pinch runner, defensive replacement, and spell Mike Trout in CF. The Angels intend to DH Trout some of the time in hopes of keeping him healthy.

TEAM NEWS: Austin Hays was named AL Player of the Week after hitting .625 (10-16) with 1 HR and 5 RBIs.
