I have trade setting to hardest setting, and in the middle for veterans and prospects.
Sure the AI offers awful trades many times, but could be a starting point if AI really likes a player.
I’ve also seen good offers. In my personal franchise I’ve seen the CPU offer a 50-55 IF prospect, along with a 50 all-star reliever for a 50 OF and another 45 or so prospect.
In my Royals season I needed SP so offered OF MJ Melendez (50) for RHP Dane Dunning (50) of Texas and deal went through.
Deals can be made, and will get offered, it just may not be the exact player/prospect you want.
