What was frustrating about this one was the fact that Leever quickly got the first 2 outs then the wheels came off. With the latest loss, Boston (18-18) dropped in the American League Standings to the 3rd place spot (tied with the St. Louis Browns).

Watty Lee (5-3) picked up the win by limiting the opposition to 4 runs (1 earned) on 8 hits, 3 walks, and 1 hit batsman; Game Score 59. Sam Leever (4-4) was tagged with the loss after serving up 5 earned runs on 11 hits and 2 walks in 8 2/3 innings of play; Game Score 43.
