Hi! I know that Historically you can only start in 1871, but has anyone ever created a fictional league using players that are pre-1871? Guys like Doc Adams, Frank Pidgeon, Jim Creighton, etc? or teams like the New York Gotham or New York Knickerbockers? Even the Brooklyn Atlantics (when they were amazing in the late 1850s and 1860s) or teams similar?

I would love to be able to make teams (as realistic as you can get) before 1871 but I am not understanding how to create players/teams like them if that makes sense? Have any of you done this prior to 1871?
