The Red Sox scored a run in the bottom of the 1st inning. The Angels took the lead on Drury’s 2 run double in the 2nd. Robles followed with a double in RF corner to make it 3-1. Trout tripled in the 3rd and later scored on a Chase Silseth wild pitch. Schanuel doubled home another run later in the inning, and Rendon followed with a single to score Schanuel to make it a 6-1 game. Red Sox reliever Cooper Criswell balked twice in the 7th to allow 2 more runs to score. O’Hoppe doubled down the LF line in the top of the 9th to make it 9-1.
Anderson pitched 6 innings, allowing just the 1 run. Blake Treinen and Luis Garcia pitched the final 3 innings.
