1890 Champions Preston North End take the lead with an amazing start including a 16 game winning streak! Aidan Andrews leads the way with a 9-1 record, 2.02 ERA and 36 strikeouts, but it's been a league leading offense that has them in first place. Hitters such as LF Connor Brown (.310/.423/.470), 2B Daniel Baker (.311/.383/.519) and 3B Brendan Heneghan (.322/.425/.422) have been amongst the league's best this month. Burnley continue their tendency of having a league-best rotation with Joe Yule (0.67 ERA) having a start that's up to par with the usual stars in lefties Keith Coleman (2.12 ERA) and Everton Hanson (2.03 ERA). Wolves are also up there, with a record that's almost the same as their record after April 1891. Other teams such as Everton and Aston Villa could make it an interesting race this year.
