Yainer Diaz had his biggest game as a Ray, coming through with a pair of 2-run doubles to lead Tampa Bay to a season-saving win over Boston and forcing a decisive Game 3 tomorrow. The Rays jumped out to a 3-0 lead on a surprise 3-run shot to dead center from Jonny DeLuca off old friend Blake Snell, but Drew Rasmussen gave it back and then some allowing 4 in the bottom of the 4th. Enter Diaz, whose first 2-run double off the Monster put them ahead to stay 5-4 in the 6th, and after Boston got within 6-5 in the 8th he added a 2-run double in the 9th to salt away the game. So tomorrow Taj Bradley will be looking to add to his team-high total 16 wins with an ALDS trip to Baltimore at stake.

This is the only series still going as the Guardians walked it off for the second straight day, this time with former Rays farmhand Kyle Manzardo's 2-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to set up Cleveland with a date in Houston for their ALDS:

Also down on the farm the Montgomery Biscuits advanced to the championship round of the SL playoffs after besting Biloxi 4 games to 2. Slugger Brock Jones was named series MVP.
