A look at the Sheffield Mountain Hares' stats after 30 games

As is customary every 15 games, let's look at the team's stat leaders, ordered by WAR.

Batting

Sergio Rutz still leads the way with a very impressive 1.137 OPS, as Perez also continues to put up good offensive numbers, but is hampered on the WAR front a little by his ailing defence. Bin Jameel’s batting average is slowly creeping up, but he’s still posting a negative WAR at this point, and mediocre stats across the board, which given his great season last year, he’ll be very disappointed with.

Pitching

On the pitching front Yushua bin Saqr has been the most reliable, something also evident in the amount of wins he’s notched up. Perhaps most impressive is that he’s only given up one home run in six starts. Marinello has been less spectacular, but leads the team in strikeouts with 34, as he consistently gives the team a chance of winning with his starts. At the other end, Guzman is the most disappointing, with a terrible 8.54 ERA, and the lowest strikeout rate of anyone of the starting rotation.

Fielding

Defensively, Portman and Saetgaliev lead the way, with Rutz also rock solid. Unsurprisingly, Willie Perez has been a negative at first base, something he’s thankfully made up for with his solid offense. Overall this doesn’t paint the best picture of the Hares’ defense, and shows how, in general, they’re not helping our pitchers!
