What difference a month makes! The Villans were 20-5-1 in June while Wolves' form took a steep dive after a 6-17-3 record. A 10 game winless streak sees Wolverhampton nearly out of contention as just 4 series remain! On the other hand, an 8 game winning streak sees the Birmingham club overtake everyone and claim the top spot. With an easier remaining schedule (.521 vs .627 opponent record), the Lions are favorites to win it all ahead of Preston, but they'll have to be at their best, facing the North End and Burnley in the final two series of the season. On the other side of the table, Newton Heath, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday will be playing in the test matches.
