It looks like cards can't be weighted out properly from the start.
We all know cards get better as the year goes on, now from the outside it looks like whale chasing starts early and doesn't stop. Cards from the early batches of drops match later year drops in the previous years. Add in the bonus whale chasing of combinators added to the game in the same year and it all seems a bit amateur mobile game-y chasing dollars in lieu of any semblance of balance.
