Byron Buxton doubled home the 1st run of the game in the top of the 1st inning. The Twins took a 2-0 lead in the 5th on an RBI single by Buxton. The run was possible thanks to an error by Neto on what appeared to be a double play ball. Ryan Jeffers smashed a 2 run home run off of Garrett Cleavinger in the 8th to give the Twins a 4-0 lead.
Meanwhile, the Angels managed just 2 hits off of Baily Over through 7 innings. The Halos mounted a threat of sorts in the bottom of the 9th when Hays singled with 2 outs, followed by a Trout double. Schanuel grounded out to 3B to end the game. Schanuel went 0-4 to end his hitting streak.
