Game 1: Nordhagen Beach 4, Sunshine Tidings 3, 10 inn.
Nordhagen Beach Takes 1-0 Series Lead Behind 4 RBIs from LF Goodman
Nordhagen Beach got all of their offense from left fielder Young Goodman. Thankfully for the Party Boys, he had plenty to give.
Behind a strong game from Goodman, Nordhagen Beach took the 4-3 victory over the Sunshine Tidings Chemists in Game 1 of the Wildcard Round. Goodman was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, while Nordhagen Beach took a 1-0 lead over the Chemists in the best-of-3 series.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Goodman hit a fastball from Tiger Fanne for a run-scoring double. The Party Boys, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's hard to overstate how much this mattered to us, especially in a short series," Nordhagen Beach manager Zach Toth said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium in Winthrop.
Game 2: Sunshine Tidings 6, Nordhagen Beach 5, 12 inn.
Merchantman Blasts Party Boys, Chemists Take Game 2, 6-5
The Sunshine Tidings Chemists and the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys will take the Wildcard Round to a decisive final game. Facing a must-win situation at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium, the Chemists went into extra innings to beat the hometown Party Boys, 6-5, and knot the series at 1-1. Sunshine Tidings third baseman Ross Merchantman was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Biff Baldwin came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Nordhagen Beach pitcher Bill Early, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Sunshine Tidings on top, 6-5.
"There's no quit in this team," said Chemists manager Art Clarke.
Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at ArcJet Systems Stadium in Sunshine Tidings.

Party Boys Win Wildcard Round
In an exciting Wildcard Round that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is Commonwealth Baseball Organization fans who have come out the winner.
But on the field, the winners were the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys, who edged the Sunshine Tidings Chemists 2-1 to advance to the Association Semifinal Round.
Nordhagen Beach won the final game by a 3-1 count to wrap up the series. Young Goodman earned series MVP honors, by hitting .429 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys will play against the Nahant Celtics in the next round. Nahant had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.

Game 1: Fort Hagen 10, Salem 9
Mallee, Fort Hagen Open WCR Strong with 10-9 Win
The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud got past the Salem Witch Hats by the score of 10-9 in the crucial first game of the Wildcard Round at Hubris Comics Park. Fort Hagen left fielder KiJana Mallee went 1 for 3 with a triple and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. With a 1-0 lead, the Silver Shroud will have two chances to close out the Witch Hats.
Had Sauce Almeida not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Almeida hit a 2-run triple. That made the score 10-8, in favor of the Silver Shroud.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Almeida told the Fort Hagen Daily. "It's as simple as that."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hubris Comics Park in Fort Hagen.
Game 2: Fort Hagen 6, Salem 3
Silver Shroud Dominate, Sweep Wildcard Round
The Salem Witch Hats were simply overmatched by the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud in the Wildcard Round.
The end result was a sweep, as Fort Hagen has cruised to the Association Semifinal Round, with the final win coming at Hubris Comics Park by a score of 6-3.
"We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Brennan Colt-45, who was named MVP of the Wildcard Round. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this."
For the series, Colt-45 hit .571 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud will play against the Starlight Killers in the next round. Starlight had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.

Game 1: Oberland 6, Roxbury 2
Road Win Lifts Oberland to 1-0 Lead in WCR
The Oberland T-51s powered past the hometown Roxbury Rad Sox, 6-2, in the opener of the Wildcard Round at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury. Oberland starting pitcher Emperry Alizm threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The T-51s now lead the series 1-0.
Oberland used a timely hit from Good Don Duck to get the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the T-51s ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Oberland manager Proper Lighthouse praised his team's "businesslike approach."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury in Roxbury.
Game 2: Roxbury 6, Oberland 4
T-51s Hammered by Pawlak, Drop Game 2 to Rad Sox
With center fielder Ben Pawlak leading the charge, the Roxbury Rad Sox defeated the visiting Oberland T-51s, 6-4, in Game 2 of the Wildcard Round. Pawlak went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury to help Roxbury force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.
In the bottom of the fourth, Roxbury second baseman Emerald Sapphire had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Sapphire stroked a 2-run double to right. It made the score 3-1, Roxbury. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Roxbury manager Bryan Pingree.
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 9th , 2311 at Oberland Stadium in Oberland.
Game 3: Roxbury 7, Oberland 5
Rad Sox Prevail, as Wildcard Round Goes to the Wire
Commonwealth Baseball Organization pundits who figured the Wildcard Round between the Roxbury Rad Sox and Oberland T-51s would go the distance were right on the mark.
The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with Roxbury coming out on top thanks to a 7-5 win in the deciding game at Oberland Stadium, to wrap things up 2-1.
"You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Rad Sox right fielder Brightsun Ramos, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Ramos had 4 hits for a .308 average. He had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Roxbury Rad Sox will play against the Egret Ninjas in the next round. Egret had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.

Game 1: FHE 10, Vault 81 6
Zabrak Blasts Dwellers, Yao Guai Take Game 1, 10-6
With shortstop Dathomirian Zabrak leading the charge, the FHE Yao Guai got a road win over the Vault 81 Dwellers, 10-6, in Game 1 of the Wildcard Round. Zabrak went 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 at CURIE Inc. Field to help FHE take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.
Sebastian Lort hit a 2-run double off Scruffy Taguchi in the top of the first, which put the Yao Guai in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Lort had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Lort.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at CURIE Inc. Field in Boston.
Game 2: Vault 81 6, FHE 3
Vault 81 Win Evens Series at 1
The Vault 81 Dwellers took down the FHE Yao Guai by the score of 6-3 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Wildcard Round. The largest share of the credit belongs to Vault 81 starter Exxie Summerset, who threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball.
Summerset, the Vault 81 right-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. He collected 6 strikeouts.
"We have a lot of confidence in Exxie," said Vault 81 manager Drac Jaskula.
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at BosCom Circle in Fairline Hill Estates.
Game 3: FHE 9, Vault 81 7
Yao Guai Heading to Association Semifinal Round
It went the distance, but the FHE Yao Guai finally disposed of the Vault 81 Dwellers 9-7 in the series clincher at BosCom Circle.
Winning the finale gave the Yao Guai the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Association Semifinal Round. It is their first playoff series win in franchise history.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to FHE right fielder Sebastian Lort. He batted .467 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 5 runs.
"Sebastian deserves it," said Yao Guai manager Dan Ferreri. "He was the glue that held our club together."
The FHE Yao Guai will play against the University Point Deathclaws in the next round. University Point had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.
