GLORIOUS GLITTER GALORE WEDNESDAY IN BELAIR BEACH FOR 85TH IPA ALL-STAR CLASSIC
Competition is fierce for a spot in the Islandian Pro Alliance All-Star extravaganza. There are only 50 slots available on the two teams. Annually the Tycobbian Union Stars and the Ruthlandian Union Stars
come together at the home of the current Pro Cup crown bearer for boasting rights in the IPA. This year's site is Bayside Park in Belair Beach. The stars will all come out Wednesday afternoon and get
their chance to shine and gleam on the baseball diamond.
The Ruthlandian All-Stars will be sparked by Tory Spinnerton, a perennial participant for the LaGrange Gators. He will be making his 8th appearance at first base. Behind the plate will be Volusia backstop
Raul Bernardo. He is a 7-time All-Star. The RU Stars will feature two rookies, Glasco third baseman Florian du Pont at age 23 and Rocky Rapids center fielder Henri Tallyrand, age 25. Brock Josephson of
Pro Cup-winning Belair Beach will be in charge of the RU Stars, who trail dramatically in the series 54-30.
Veteran star performers are not in abundance on the Tycobbian All-Stars, skippered by Pro Cup runner-up Hugo Sutton of of the Rolling Hills Racers. Tuckanarra catcher Conn Donelson heads up the talent
with his 6th appearance. The TU Stars have three rookies on their squad, 21-year-old hurler Dookie Garnham of Hartsdale, 3-year-old second sacker Mylon Moncrief of Chicopee and 25-year-old third baseman
Kade Burwyn of North Hills.
The oldest All-Star in the game is pitcher Skip Hennessy of the Turon Typhoons. This will be his first All-Star Game at 37. Hennessy is in this 12th year in the IPA. The youngest All-Star will be Sugar Valley
right fielder Radney Correll at age 20 and now in his 3rd season.
