The 1893 British Home Championship is upon us!

To nobody's surprise, England is the favorite to win it all once again. The Three Lions have won 4 of the 5 previous editions. Their rotation once again consists of Keith Coleman, Marvin Healy and Oscar Swan. In the lineup, stars such as CF Paul Brodie, LF Everton Brown, SS Anthony Dean and C Sean Bernerd are joined by Stoke SS Harry Howarth, making his England debut.

A newly professionalized Scotland squad is looking for its second British trophy. Their rotation sees Christopher Clark play his 5th tournament and Rangers' Benjamin Boyd joined by a 24 year old Dylan Anderson, currently playing for league newcomers Dundee. In the lineup, the usuals LF Lewis Johnston, LF Ross Matheson and C Aidan Weir are joined by Dundee RF "Big Lou" Morrison.

The Welsh club will once again rally behind 2B Shane Pollard, who will be participating in his 6th tournament! Leicester born LF William Phillips was finally convinced by the Welsh BA to join the team for the British Championship. The Wolves outfielder is the only new addition to the starting lineup, but will it be enough to get Wales to compete once again?

Ireland, expected to come last once again, sees the most new faces join the squad in 1893. Glentoran C Fineen Price, Ulster 2B Colin McCorkell (1892 NIR1 Team of the Year), Ulster 3B Fionn Bailey (who joined them a couple months ago after being rejected by English teams), and Ulster LF Neal Hamilton (1892 NIR1 Team of the Year) all will make their debut this year. The national team turns to first-time champions Ulster as they hope to get back to winning ways.

Wales vs Ireland
Joshua Lewis delivers with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th as Wales win the first game, 2-1. Stuart Miles (9 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) was named player of the game. Ireland bounce back in game 2, holding off a strong Welsh offensive to win 5-4. 1B Theo O'Keeffe hit a 3 run homer in the 5th, earning him player of the game honors. Sebastian Duncan earns his first win in his first BHC start, leading the Dragons to a 8-1 win. Duncan allowed 7 hits, one unearned run with 4 walks and a K in his 6th appearance for Wales.

England vs Scotland
A 9-run first inning sees the Three Lions cruise to a 12-5 win. RF Mason Price (3-4, HR, 4 RBI) was named player of the game. Marvin Healy (9 IP, 9 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) shuts out the Tartan Army as England win 7-0. Everton Brown has 3 hits, including a 3 run bomb. Oscar Swan secures the sweep for England, allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits, walking 2 and striking out 1 as England win 6-2. Sean Bernerd has 2 hits and 3 RBI, including a 2 run homer.

England's perfect records pushes them to the top once again, with Wales one game behind. Ireland are 2 games back, while Scotland are hoping they can recover from an opening series sweep.

Ireland vs England
England smash Ireland 10-3 in game 1. Everton Brown earns the player of the game honors after breaking the record for most steals in a single game (5). England score 6 in the 2nd and fight off late rallies from Ireland to win game 2, 8-5. Irish 3B Fionn Bailey (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI) was named player of the game. A 6-3 game 3 win behind Oscar Swan (9 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 1 K) means England has pretty much won the 1893 Championship!

Wales vs Scotland
An RBI single from Ian Wallis helps Scotland scrape past Wales, 2-1. Christopher Clark (9 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 6 BB, 2 K) was named player of the game. Benjamin Boyd (9 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 3 K) leads Scotland to a 7-2 win with Ross Matheson and Lewis Morrison earning 3 hits and 2 RBI each. After exchanging blows only in the 3rd inning, Wales win 2-1 and must now sweep England in Deepdale to win it all.

England continue with a perfect record! Wales must now win all 3 remaining games against England to win it. Scotland (2-4) and Ireland (1-5) are mathematically eliminated.

England vs Wales
The Three Lions lay it all out to clinch the title with an impressive 22-6 win! Anthony Dean (3-4, 2B, 5 RBI) was named player of the game. A rotated England squad scores 5 in the 8th to win it 9-7. Welsh pitcher Douggie Murray set a record, walking 13 of England's batters. Oscar Swan and England complete the sweep with a 8-1 win.

Scotland vs Ireland
Playing just for their honor, Scotland win game 1, 4 runs to 2. Christopher Clark (9 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K) was named player of the game. Scotland take game 2, 15-2 to overtake Wales in the 2nd place. Ireland and Scotland split the final game, with it ending 3-3 after Scotland come back and score in the 7th, 8th and 9th innings.

England win the 1893 British Home Championship! It is their 5th win and their 2nd unbeaten win.
