As advertised, the Yankees and Dodgers brought their hitting shoes to game 1. Between them, they slugged 12 doubles, 3 triples and a home run as we went to New York and took game 1 12-8. Gary Clark knocked in 3 and Stanley and Cole each knocked in 2. Kevin Houston won his 3rd post season start giving up 4 runs in 6 innings.
We were down 4-3 going into the 7th when both teams took advantage of the bullpens. We scored 8 runs off theirs and they scored 4 off of ours, but 4 of our 6 doubles came in the 7th when we put up 7 runs.
There were only 4 walks in the game, so all the damage was done by swinging the bat, there were only 12 men LOB total despite 20 runs being scored
