I assume this is your annual rookie draft. Are you playing with minors off? I always play with minors off. How many rounds is your rookie draft? I use 8 rounds. 7-9 rounds is pretty common. Also your settings for RAH, injuries, players retire according to history, fatigue, etc. will also impact how many rounds you need.
Stats is not random. If you want stats from a particular year (I use 1984 since those stats are close to average from 1901-2023) go into stats & AI tab day before opening day or on opening day prior to any game being played) and do auto calc using 1984 or any year you choose. Otherwise the game will use the historical year which is on the left side of the stats & AI page to determine modifiers.
