Game #32 – May 3 – Angels @ Guardians

Neto singled home the 1st run of the game in the top of the 3rd inning. O’Hoppe followed with a 2 run single to make it 3-0.
Cleveland loaded the bases with 1 out in the 4th, but Westburg made a great play at 3B for the 2nd out and Detmers escaped from the jam only allowing 1 run to score. The Guards loaded the bases again in the 5th but Detmers retired Ramon Laureano to end the threat. Robert Stephenson relieved Detmers with runners at 1st and 3rd and 2 outs in the 6th. Steven Kwan lined out to SS to end the inning. Detmers pitched 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 2.
Cleveland tied the game on a Bo Naylor RBI double and a Kwan RBI single off of Luis Garcia in the 8th.
Robles singled home the ghost runner (Neto) in the top of the 11th to give the Halos a 4-3 lead. After singles by Rengifo and Hays, Schanuel drew a bases loaded walk to give the Angels an insurance run.
The Guardians loaded the bases with 1 out in the bottom of the inning and a Carlos Estevez wild pitch allowed a run to score. Estevez struck out Kyle Manzardo and got Brayan Rocchio to ground out to SS to end the game.
Final Score: Los Angeles 5, Cleveland 4 (11 innings)
