American League Player of the Week
In earning his first career American League Player of the Week award, Cleveland Naps outfielder Doc Gessler is putting to rest the notion that his tremendous rookie season was a fluke. In picking up the weekly honor, Gessler batted .438 (14 for 32) with 2 Doubles, 5 Runs, 9 RBIs, 1 Walk, and 4 Stolen Bases for a slashline of .438/.455/.500 that resulted in 0.7 WAR.
