I feel like maybe the name thing isn't settled, as it's the second time it came up. That said, OOC, having watched some lore videos awhile back there's many that argue that the Gunners "weren't that bad" and it's really a missed opportunity that they were always hostile to the player character. Story wise, realistically, they should have been able to have been negotiated with.
