June 30-July 6, 2026

June 30: at Toronto 0-4 L. LP-McClanahan (5-8, 6 2 1 0 0 9). The offensive woes continued as the Rays followed up two games of only one run with zero today, wasting a brilliant outing from Mac.

July 1: at Toronto 1-2 L. LP-Robertson (2-3). Starter-Springs (6 3 0 0 5 10). HR-Westburg (3). Can't anyone score a damn run around here? For the second straight night the Rays got only four hits and now have scored three runs in their last four games and lost them all despite only allowing 11 themselves. Springs did leave with a 1-0 lead but Adam and Robertson gave up solo homers in the 7th and 8th to lose it.

July 2: at Toronto 5-0 W. WP-Bradley (8-3, 5.2 2 0 0 2 11). HR-C.Williams (10). Taj was about as dominant as they come and the team finally scored some runs with Williams leading the way going 3-4 with a double, homer and 2 RBI.

July 3: vs Boston 11-4 W. WP-Pepiot (7-5, 5 9 4 4 1 2). HR-Caminero (15), B.Jones (2). After they couldn't rub two sticks (or bats) together earlier in the week suddenly the Rays are scoring runs like crazy as they blew out Boston today. Paredes and Mead each had bases-clearing doubles while rookie Brock Jones was 2-4 with a 2-run homer and all 9 Rays recorded at least one safety.

July 4: vs Boston 4-6 (10). LP-Bautista (5-3). Starter-Rock (5 9 3 3 1 5). HR-B.Jones (3), Rutschman (17). Rays fought back from 3-1 down to tie it on Adley's solo homer in the 6th but lost it in the 10th when Rafael Devers hit a 3-run homer off Bautista, ending the closer's brilliant run of late.

July 5: vs Boston 2-0 W
. WP-McClanahan (6-8, 5 5 0 0 2 6). S-Hader (1). HR-Caminero (16). Once again Mac was poorly supported but two runs were enough for him and the Rays to win with Hader picking up his first save in a Rays uniform.

July 6: vs Boston 5-3 W
. WP-Springs (5-6, 7 6 2 2 0 11). S-Bautista (21). HR-B.Jones (4). Springs is on quite the dominant run and he pitched the Rays to a series win over Boston helped by a 2-run Yandy double and the rookie Jones' third homer in the four games against Boston.

Team record: 51-34. Despite the up-and-down week the Rays did gain 1/2 game on Baltimore and trail the Orioles by 3 1/2 in the division. Next week: Texas comes in for four games to conclude the homestand and we then head off for 3 in Oakland. Also during the Oakland series we'll have the amateur draft.
