Literally every Babe card was the "must have" meta when it came out (except the silver tourney card), and I actually had these, and played them.
That Perfect from the LE sets they were doing that year in 23 (not actual LE, the zebra stripe card) cost me 1.5 million and it was still going for 500K 4 months later when the cycle ended. Incredible two way card, was in the meta for cap tourneys and the like the rest of the year.
The 58 LE iron Ruth went for 120-200K for most of the cycle. That was the absolute God DH iron card in 23 - truly a must-have to have a top iron team.
The 99 diamond from 23 was a meta diamond tourney card for a while, a top DH or RF/LF option, particularly for power.
Edit: It seems that the current Chase Utley has had a bigger across the board effect than any Babe card ever. He may or may not ever be in the HoF.
Both of the perfects from 24 (one is PTCS and the other tourney) were meta cards for a while at the top level of diamond league/perfect league. That tourney card led the league in jacks for me a few seasons in diamond league.
The gold came at the end of the cycle with like 190 power and was going for 50k+ for quite a while even though it was never part of a mission. Definitely a meta gold tourney card.
Like I said, every single one of these was the meta for what they were when they dropped, and for a good while after (excepting the tourney silver).

Those are niche cards. None are "The House That Ruth Built" quality and have yet to be. But let's hurry and make the greatest cards from "future legends." You know the ones? Yearly PT has been littered with cards that were "Perfect Future Legends" before and never even sniff the air of Gold again after a year or two.
No player's name or deeds are as recognizable internationally as the Babe's.
