PHOTO LOCATED Ed Watkins 1902 Philadelphia Phillies
I found this nice team photo of the 1902 Fort Williams military team from Portland, Maine. It features Ed Watkins, who was noted to have come to the Phillies from Ft. Williams. It appeared in the July 13, 1902 Portland Sunday Telegram.
The listing of players in the team photo is a bit unusual as it doesn't break up by row - but using the scorer who is shown in back row second from left holding a note pad, it would appear that Watkins is in back to far right. The last player listed is the catcher and it looks like the player in the bottom right is holding a catcher's mask, so I think it's correct.
