To be fair, we were on the better end of two separate Cubbie chokes, in both 1969 and 1973. But it is a lot more enjoyable to be hearing "Ya Gotta BE-lieve!" than "Ah well, if we finish #4, we get to host all three games in the extra round." (Thanks, Gary!)
To paraphrase Bethenny Frankel, "nothing tastes as good as winning feels". I'm pro-champagne. (In nearly every situation, but specifically here.)
