I like to pick a favourite to back in each division. Generally this is purely based on either location, name, or whether I like the logo. Not on the team’s quality. As the Hares haven’t made the postseason, we’ll follow the highest ranked one that makes the playoffs, if indeed any of them have. This year’s teams were:
Pineapple Conference (The Americas and Oceania)
South America - Porto Alegre Enologos (Winemakers)
Central & Oceania - Havana Cafecitos
North America West - Idaho Owls
North America East - St Louis Flycatchers
Mango Conference (Europe, Africa and Asia)
Europe - Zurich Mountaineers
Africa - Kinshasa Leopards
West & South East Asia - Hanoi Mopeds
Central & East Asia - Osaka Blossoms
We can see that only two of these teams make the playoffs, and the best record goes to the St Louis Flycatchers, so that’s who we’ll be following. I’ll profile the team before we get into their wildcard round game against the Honolulu Seahawks, a game which they go into as the favourites.
