The teams returned to the Orchard in Shanghai to a roaring crowd, as the Tartans won a tightly fought contest, 2-1, to take a 3-1 lead in the series, just one win away from their second World Series. Tartans pitcher Osamu Yamaguchi gave the best pitching performance of the series so far. He looked invincible as he threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Conference finals MVP Victor Cadoro came up clutch for the Tartans. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tartans ahead, 2-0, a run that ended up being critical to the Tartans’s win. The unflappable Tartans closer, Luis Lopez, was slightly flappable, but he only gave up the one run in his two closer innings, as he ensured the win for the Tartans.
Player of the game: Osamu Yamaguchi
The teams will return to Shanghai one last time tomorrow, as the Peaches try to stop the Tartans winning it all in game 5.
