The Shanghai Peaches have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Calgary Tartans, winning, 8-5 in their final game at the Orchard. Decorated Peaches designated hitter Adrião Palmer was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 and played a key part in the Peaches’ win. 5-1 down, the Tartans threatened a comeback with 4 runs in the 7th thanks to a Zach Dadzie grand slam into the terraces. At 6-5 down, the travelling Tartans fans were singing, sure their side would go on to tie up the World Series, but the Peaches countered back with 2 runs in the next inning, giving them a 3 run lead that proved decisive.
