Roman Anthony
Roman Anthony now sits at the No. 1 position in Baseball America’s annual Top 100 Prospects ranking after the Rays’ Junior Caminero — the original No. 1 — graduated from prospect status.
The 20-year-old Red Sox outfielder moved into the list’s top spot after Caminero reached 130 at-bats on Tuesday night. “I couldn’t be more high on that guy,” said shortstop Trevor Story, who played four games on a rehab assignment with Anthony at Triple-A Worcester. “He controls the zone, has really good at-bats. Hits the ball hard.” Baseball America wrote, “[Anthony’s] poised to reach the majors before his 21st birthday, and he has a combination of power and plate discipline that should serve him well for years to come.” - boston.com
Funny you ask, I did Roman three days ago. I was going to wait for a Spring Training photo as I imagine he'll get one come March but he's too good not to have something in the pack.
