1904 National League Champions:
Milwaukee Brewers
With the Mets' loss, neither New York team has advanced to the World Series. The Big Apple will now focus its attention on football, basketball and hockey, and hope that both clubs will make the necessary roster moves to advance to the Fall Classic next year and beyond.
This is the second straight year that the Mets have lost in the NLCS. Last year they fell to the eventual World Series champion Cincinnati Reds.
This is the first pennant for the Milwaukee Brewers.
