CBO Championship Series Results

NCA #3 Salem Witch Hats vs #1 Fort Hagen Silver Shroud

Game 1: Fort Hagen 6, Salem 3

Colt-45, Fort Hagen Open ACS Strong with 6-3 Win

The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud started the Association Championship Series in style, downing the visiting Salem Witch Hats at Hubris Comics Park by a score of 6-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Silver Shroud shortstop Brennan Colt-45 went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times.

Sleve McDichael hit a 2-run double off Pokey Chatman in the bottom of the first, which put the Silver Shroud in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, McDichael had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Colt-45 after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hubris Comics Park in Fort Hagen.

Game 2: Fort Hagen 7, Salem 4

Blitzed by Revere, Silver Shroud, Witch Hats Sink Further in ACS

The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud defeated the Salem Witch Hats, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Association Championship Series. A big contributor was second baseman Nauseous Revere, who was 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs. The win moves Fort Hagen into a 2-0 lead in the series.

Sleve McDichael had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the third for Fort Hagen. With the bases loaded and the Silver Shroud leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"Solid performance from our side," said Silver Shroud manager Darnell Bright.

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 18th , 2312 at Vim! Park of Salem in Salem.

Game 3: Salem 5, Fort Hagen 2

DeLong Blasts Silver Shroud, Witch Hats Take Game 3, 5-2

The Salem Witch Hats have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Fort Hagen Silver Shroud, winning, 5-2, at Vim! Park of Salem. Witch Hats first baseman Brian DeLong was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win cuts the deficit facing the Witch Hats to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Association Championship Series.

DeLong had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the third for the Witch Hats. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Salem trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Salem manager Nick Caudill told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Vim! Park of Salem in Salem.

Game 4: Fort Hagen 3, Salem 2

Almost There: Fort Hagen On Cusp of ACS Triumph After 3-2 Win

The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud moved to within one game of the Sole Survivor Series, downing the Salem Witch Hats on the road at Vim! Park of Salem by a score of 3-2. Silver Shroud left-hander La'Ray Kalel had a strong outing. He threw 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball. The win gives the Silver Shroud a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Association Championship Series.

Fort Hagen used the hitting of Hid Matsumoto to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Silver Shroud on top, 3-2. For the game, Matsumoto had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Matsumoto called the win "a team effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Vim! Park of Salem in Salem.

Game 5: Fort Hagen 8, Salem 6

Silver Shroud Move on to Sole Survivor Series

The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud triumphed 8-6 over the Salem Witch Hats at Vim! Park of Salem in the Association Championship Series to capture it 4-1.

Orcin Cardinal led the charge, going 2 for 4 with a home run, a walk, a run, and five RBI.

The victory advanced the Silver Shroud to the Sole Survivor Series.

For his superb play in the series, Silver Shroud center fielder Hid Matsumoto garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .250, scoring 7 runs and batting in 6.

"Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Sole Survivor Series," Matsumoto said later. "I'll get to work on that."

The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud will play against the Vault 81 Dwellers in the next round. Vault 81 won their series against the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets 4 games to 0. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship Series finishes.

Game 1: Vault 81 4, Jamaica Plain 3, 10 inn.

Summerset, Dwellers Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead

The Vault 81 Dwellers took the first game of the Association Championship Series in dramatic fashion, topping the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets, 4-3, in an extra-inning walk-off win. Dwellers right-hander Exxie Summerset threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Vault 81 right fielder Pockets Wrench, facing Herbie Popnecker, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dwellers the 4-3 win.

"This game tested our mettle," said Wrench.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at CURIE Inc. Field in Boston.

Game 2: Vault 81 9, Jamaica Plain 6

Vault 81 Pins 9-6 Loss on Jamaica Plain

Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop End Yamada, the Vault 81 Dwellers stopped the visiting Jamaica Plain Red Rockets, 9-6, in Game 2 of the Association Championship Series. Yamada was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Dwellers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

In the bottom of the third, Vault 81 center fielder Stu Gains had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Gains stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Vault 81. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We'll keep riding this wave," said Gains.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 19th , 2312 at Red Rockets Stadium in Jamaica Plain.

Game 3: Vault 81 6, Jamaica Plain 4, 12 inn.

Road Win Lifts Vault 81 to 3-0 Lead in ACS

With second baseman Harry Byrd leading the charge, the Vault 81 Dwellers got past the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets, 6-4, in extra innings in Game 3 of the Association Championship Series. Byrd went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once at Red Rockets Stadium as Vault 81 managed to take a 3-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Chris Connexx came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Jamaica Plain pitcher T-Bone Heagy, he hit a 1-1 curveball for a 2-run double. It was a game-changer, putting Vault 81 on top, 6-4.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Connexx.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Red Rockets Stadium in Jamaica Plain.

Game 4: Vault 81 8, Jamaica Plain 5

Dwellers Win Association Championship Series

The Vault 81 Dwellers proved to be too much to handle for the Jamaica Plain Red Rockets in the Association Championship Series, and a sweep was the end result.

Vault 81 punched its ticket to the Sole Survivor Series on the strength of a 8-5 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 4-0. Mace Pageturner earned MVP honors by going 2 for 4 with a home run, a run, and three RBI. Joe Rathmann and Phantom Vargas each homered.

Vault 81 second baseman Harry Byrd, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Jamaica Plain pitching to the tune of a .533 average, with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Vault 81 Dwellers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud - Salem Witch Hats series. Fort Hagen leads the series 3 games to 1. The Sole Survivor Series schedule will be announced after the Association Championship Series finishes.
