To be honest, I tried last week to build an iron team. I spent the 200,000 points i had AND BOUGHT $100 USD to top up.
Using combinators i already had, I managed to get 4 cards to level 1, 2 cards to level 2, and ONE card to LEVEL THREE. I lost the roll on 70%+ 3 times.
I think the game has swung so far beyond what EA sports does to you to win that its just not fun like it used to be.
Really really hoping this was a one-shot deal, realizing that it doesn't help with enjoyment of the game as a really amazing card collection gets mashed by thousand dollar teams.

Boy you hit the nail on the head.
If you don't have/use combinator cards your chance at winning at tournament (as everyone claims is the best way to acquire cards) which now is bunk is useless
I have so many other issues with OOTP gaming now I will 100% be looking for an alternative for next year. I have a couple in sight that look really promising & have even had conversion with those companies.
The content creation for PT is a mess, unless I have several/tons of thousands of dollars to spend. It's surely not for the common customer anymore. It's for the deep pockets customers. I've always found when a business in trouble they raise ways to get more money as most everyone in America feels the inflation. I've owned 2 businesses and knew when to not fight against my suppliers. Well I'm at that point now and these combinator cards & content creation. Some players have 3 cards & 2 of them are high cost cards while other players throughout history are omitted. Those 2 are the reason for me to look for another option.
26 years with this company has gone from fun to having a money gun pointed at your pocket book, but that's their decision to make
