I am trying to make a trade, and as you can see in the screenshots attached, all of these teams have plenty of both payroll and cap space, but when making a trade the GM says they can't take on that much payroll.


Is this an error, or is there something I don't understand about payroll calculation?

Or is this like when my Dad tries to pressure me to buy stuff I don't need and I say "I can't afford it right now" to get him off my back? The GM is trying to find a way to tell me he doesn't want to do the deal?
