Simulation speed being on the slower side is just part of the FHM experience in my view - has been since I started playing at the end of 7/beginning of 8. I'm hoping over the next few iterations that this is an avenue they explore with a view to improving sim speed times etc but we'll have to see. I know that Sebastian mentioned in the Discord a few months back that they made some changes to the way that the game handles staff and that this should benefit simulation speeds further into games, Jeff has also said that he's cleared a lot of excess players from the database - I believe it was around 17k which will also help but yeah, if you're comparing it to other sports simulation games, then it is not at the level of some of the top of the market competitors (I'm basically only referring to (and unfairly at that) Football Manager,,though maybe you could squeeze OOTP Baseball into that too.)

Wow, I didn't realise running all leagues on 2D had a considerable impact. Previously I had issues with there being unbalanced takeaway and giveaway stats and I read (probably on here) that running all leagues 2D fixed things. That's really interesting.
Yeah, I'm really familiar with playing FM and can play a much bigger database with ease.
