Offense took a holiday at Tropicana Field as the Rays opened their Wild Card Series with Detroit but Tampa Bay prevailed 1-0 thanks to
Josh Lowe hitting a triple to lead off the 9th and scoring on
Isaac Paredes' sac fly to center. As a result one of
Shane McClanahan's best-ever starts did not go for naught and the Rays are up 1-0 in the best-of-3 affair. But boy was it tense and tight before that.
