Game 126: Detroit Tigers vs. Boston Americans

It took a dramatic 9th-inning comeback, but the Boston Americans (75-51) prevailed over the visiting Detroit Tigers (64-62) by a score of 3 to 2 before an announced attendance of 8,451 fans.

With today's victory, Noodles Hahn (20-11) notched his 3rd career 20+ win season by limiting the opposition to 2 earned runs on 5 hits, 2 walks, 1 wild pitch, and 1 hit batsman while striking out 4 in his 134-pitch outing; Game Score 71. Doc White (15-15) was tagged with the loss after allowing 3 earned runs on 10 hits, 1 walk, and 1 wild pitch in 8 1/3 innings of play; Game Score 52.

While there was no one standout hitting performance today, collectively the Americans offense was spread between Jesse Hoffmeister (1 for 1, Run, RBI), John Farrell (2 for 4, RBI), and Danny Shay (2 for 3, Walk). The Tigers limited offense came from Charlie Hickman (1 for 4, Homerun, Run, RBI) and Dave Fultz (1 for 4, Run).
