On the left was as clean as I could get it using two Topaz apps. Still looks like a horror show. The big black blotch over the left eye doesn't help. Next was a better shot from his Fordham days. I think that's a little better face and you might be able to do a "faceswap" with a better braves body using something like roop-unleashed or facefusion. On the right is an example - Hoot Evers' face on Gil Coan's body. Not perfect but it was usable for in game headshots. Regardless, this one would take additional time and work.

I was wondering what your software could come up with, and the image again proves the fact that the quality of a colorization is primarily dependant on the source image. Thank you for investigating what could be done but maybe it's best to move on , there is plenty of alternate quality material, like this one.
